Mark William Pollock is a native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and a graduate of Hempfield High School in Landisville PA and then from Pennsylvania State University.  He published his first book of photographs, Cat's Eye View, in 1998, followed by his book of eastern United States lighthouses, Guardians of the Gray Atlantic, and his book on New England insane asylums, Institutional Gothic (Book of Lost Things).  In 2017 he published Chico the Krismoose.

Also available (on iTunes, and soon on this website) are 4 CD's of original music that Pollock produced between 1998 and 2008, including Burning in Your Bones (1998),  Corridors of Light (2000),  Mark Pollock and the Big Spenders (2005), and Expenders (2008).
